Brian has planned conferences (National Settlement Services Summit), drafted bylined articles for clients, mapped out large advertising campaigns, pitched news releases and written marketing copy. He is comfortable creating strategies and delivering tactics in most channels, including public relations, direct marketing (Web and print), collateral and trade conference marketing and advertising (print and Web). Jeff Schurman is an independent consultant and founder of Schurman Research Company, LLC, a leadership consultancy that helps business owners and managers to manage systemic risks associated with outsourcing to third-party product and service vendors. As a teacher, advisor, and protector of his clients’ best interests, Jeff is committed to transforming the way outsourcing, partnering, and systemic risk management interacts in business today.
Jeff also serves as the executive director of the Title Appraisal Vendor Management Association (TAVMA), a trade association that promotes the real estate vendor management and settlement services industry. In this role he is responsible for developing and cultivating all association-sponsored programs, fund raising initiatives, membership development, and strategic and tactical planning and execution.
Jeff is a 1980 graduate of La Roche College, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Leadership and Liberal Studies from Duquesne University.

Odell is a senior marketing research professional with over 10 years of experience. As the founder and managing director of ColemanWick’s marketing research practice, Odell provides strategic research and analysis to clients across a diverse set of industries. Rick Grant has been a writer and editor for more than 25 years, working as paid staff on daily, weekly and monthly newspapers; industry newsletters and magazines. He has worked as a freelance writer or producer for just about every communication medium. A specialist in electronic communication, he spent time as an online content producer for Office.com, a television producer and a radio disc jockey. He was one of the first bloggers in the financial services industry and won an award for business podcasting in 2006. Chuck Cain has been in the Title Insurance industry since 1977. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University and the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University. He is admitted to practice in Ohio and Kentucky, several Federal District courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit. He is former chair of the Real Property section of the Cincinnati Bar Association, a former director of the Cincinnati Mortgage Banker’s Association and a recipient of a special citation from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development concerning Fair Housing Best Practices.
A native Cincinnatian, he has been a licensed title insurance agent for over 25 years, was an owner-operator of his own agency for 18 years and corporate officer with LandAmerica for over 10 years. He has spoken before many state land title associations, state and local bar associations, RESPRO, the National Settlement Services Summit, Title Radio, and numerous other groups and classes on the topic of title insurance and compliance. His many articles have been published in state land title publications and in October Research publications.
He has been nationally prominent in the creation and management of compliant affiliated and alliance relationships having been involved in the creation of over 400 such relationships in over 20 states. Having worked in all areas of the title industry and with its customers he brings a great depth of knowledge of all aspects of the real estate industry.
